Variables
Red-winged Blackbird
Occurred in all hexagons with more than 6% agricultural land, and
almost as much in hexagons with 1-5% agricultural land and May
minimum temperature (hex. max.) of 1-8 C. Also occurred in
hexagons with less agricultural land as long as there is little or no
Douglas-fir - white fir - tanoak - madrone mixed forest and topography
is varied. The logistic regression analysis showed positive or negative
association with agricultural lands, the extent of public land, April
precipitation (hex. min.), May minimum temperature (hex. med.), July
minimum temperature (hex. min.), and-to a lesser degree-wetlands
and wet shrubland, towns and cities, and mixed conifer forest
(Northeast Oregon).
